April 18th-Game two Giants 6 Cubs 3

Dave Kingman homered (1) to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 6-3 win over the Chicago Cubs to salvage a split at Candlestick Park of a doubleheader.
Steve Stone allowed two runs over six innings to earn his first win of the season (1-0).
The Giants scored their six runs off just seven hits,but they did work Cubs pitching for five walks.
San Francisco improved to 9-4 on the season with the win as they enter a three game series against the Cardinals at Candlestick...

April 18th-Game one-Cubs 2 Giants 1

Chicago's Jim Hickman smacked a two run homer off Giants lefty Ron Bryant in the top of the sixth to erase a 1-0 San Francisco lead and give the Cubs a 2-1 win at Candlestick Park in the first game of a doubleheader.
Hickman's one out homer was all the runs that Milt Pappas would need as Pappas went the distance in earning the win as he scattered nine hits.
Ron Bryant allowed just two runs over seven innings in falling to 0-3 on the season.
Tito Fuentes had three hits for the Giants,who fell to 8-4 with the defeat.
